Goldsmiths Tabletop Gaming Society dice

Come down for an evening of fun and play, new faces and new games, hosted by SEAGER in collaboration with the Goldsmiths Tabletop Gaming Society.

Opened up as a friendly and inclusive space, the gallery becomes a setting to try out various board and card games, replacing ‘screen-time’ in favour of this more sociable, ‘analogue’ pastime that can build (or break! We all have that one friend that takes Risk too seriously..) relationships.

The selection of games on offer considers the interplay between stereotypically digital versus physical environments, featuring board games whose characters originated in computer games or have taken scenarios better known from sci-fi films as their narrative setting.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a clue what those angular dice are for, can just about differentiate a goblin from a hobgoblin, or are a long-term games aficionado; the night is open to all levels of interest and ability. Members from the Tabletop Gaming Society will be on hand to guide you through game play, which range from quicker (card) games to more demanding or engaging board games.

This evening is part of SEAGER’s open ‘house-warming’ event series, taking place ahead of launching the exhibition programme on the 22nd of February.

There will be some food and refreshments available to fuel play. Feel free to BYOB or BYOF. The event runs from 17.30 - 21.30 but drop ins or outs are more than welcome!
